Anybody know if tinting the headlights of a car yellow is legal in Ontario? It’s cheap and I think it would look good when I get the Civic.

EDIT: According to Twitter replies it is legal.

It’s still legal in France for exemple as we used to have yellow lights as standard way back... It was like this up until the mid-90’s when it changed for white lights...

I want to say no but I’m not sure. I see yellow fogs on cars fairly often but I don’t think yellow headlights will fly.

I learned about this from GTA V actually, they introduced a french old car with yellow lights.

If it was manufactured and certified with that yellow coating, then yes, it’s legal. If the headlight was originally white and you put a coating on it, then it’s illegal.

Many foglights are yellow right from the factory... which means they were certified that way which makes them legal.

Consider as well that having yellow headlights (as opposed to fog lights) is like saying to the cops “HEY LOOK AT ME... I SHOULD BE AN EASY TARGET FOR TICKETS”
